PSN Sees Record Sales for December

Sony’s Playstation Network Store has seen records numbers for the month of December achieving a 155% increase in sales over the previous year. Patrick Seybold has stated that in December Sony’s PlayStation Network enjoyed its “single highest revenue month” in North America. read more

**UPDATE** Chalk it up to another screw up…..for now You could chalk this one up to another bumbling scerw up from some marketing firm but it looks like yet another variant of the PSP is in the pipe line and may be available very soon. How soon? Who knows. I’d advise everyone to fold this one up and place it in the rumour drawer for now but if history repeats itself, it’s more than likely another slip up that will ruin another big surprise party for Sony. read more

Third Parties Decide if Games will be Released on PSN Store

That’s right, you heard me. Third Party developers get to decide whether or not their new games will be available on the Playstation Store. What this means for happy new PSP Go owners is that there will be absolutely no way you will ever get to play any game that isn’t available on the Store based on the publishers discretion. Sony doesn’t enforce this on any of it’s third party developers. read more

An interesting little feature was discovered recently in firmware 6.10 for the PSP. It would appear as though you can only sort your games by expiration date, not by groups in folders like the PS3 does. Strange, I was under the impression that a demo or fully purchased game was mine for as long as I please. So what’s with the expiration date? read more
